At St Peter’s School we are committed to providing your child with an excellent education. The building blocks of a great education begin with all students coming to school each and every day.
Regular school attendance is vital and missing school days can have a big impact on a child’s future.
There is no safe number of days for missing school – each day a student misses puts them behind, and can affect their educational outcomes.
At St Peter’s School we do not recommend the taking of holidays outside of the prescribed government gazetted school holiday periods. If holidays are taken we encourage parents to plan them close to the end of term break.
If your child must miss school, there are things that need to be done.
Parents need to communicate details of the extended leave plan to the principal and class teacher.
The teacher and director of learning will provide an extended learning plan which parents must ensure is completed.
NB – The extended learning plan does not replace the learning your child would achieve when attending daily face to face teaching classes.
